Arrival at Guwahati – Bhalukpong

Arrival Guwahati and transfer to Bhalukpong. You can make stops along the way as you enter gorgeous Arunachal Pradesh – the elevation ascends the whole way. Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

Day 2

Bhalukpong – Bomdila

Start the day with rafting, stopping for scenic side-canyon hikes and possible swimming/cliff jumping opportunities. Post rafting, you’ll be taken back to the hotel and then drive to Tenga. En route stop at Tipi Orchid Centre. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 3

Bomdila Sightseeing

Today you will visit some of the popular tourist sites in Bomdila. Bomdila Monastery: Followers of Mahayana Buddhism consider this place sacred. The monastery resembles the Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet. R.R. Hill is Bomdila’s highest point. Apart from the scenic landscape that is the specialty of Bomdila, you can also view the road that leads to Tawang and to Bhutan’s border. Craft Centre and Ethnographic Museum is precisely where you need to be if you want to experience the essence of the culture and lifestyle of Bomdila. The hand-woven carpets, traditional masks, and wall hangings are uniquely designed. Bomdila War Memorial and View Point is built in memory of the soldiers who laid down their lives protecting our country in the 1962 Bomdila War. The view from this place is amazing since it is at the highest point and you can see the enchanting Himalayas to the north and beautiful Bomdila town on the south. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 4

Excursion to Dirang

Your day will start with a day trip to Dirang. You will cover the following sightseeing points: NIMAS Institute: It provides specialized training in mountaineering and adventure sports. It is one of the only adventure sports institutes which offer activities and courses for land, air and water adventure activities. Dirang hot water springs: A visit to the hot water spring on the road to Tawang from Dirang is a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The water is rich in sulphur, which makes it rich in medicinal properties. Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery: This is a temple and learning institute for the study of Tibetan Buddhism for lay people and monks. The name, Thupsung Dhargye Ling was given by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and means "Place of Flourishing of the Buddha's Speech.” Yak Research Centre is one of a kind in the country. It’s worth a visit for wool production which is used for carpets, foot mats, ropes, caps, etc. The Monpas village of Thembang is a settlement within a fortified area measuring approximately 3.2 acres. It is a host to several ancient and historical structures and has drawn the maximum attention for the fortified Dzong constructed using traditional techniques of the region. This village was nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 5

Rupa – Tezpur

Drive from Rupa to Tezpur. Post hotel check-in, you will visit the following places: Chitralekha Udhyan: Established by a British Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Cole in 1906, the park has two massive ornamented stone pillars and other sculptural remnants. Mahabhairab Temple: This temple is believed to have been established by King Bana with a Siva lingam. Formerly, this temple was built of stone but the present one is built of concrete. Nine lines Inscription of Harjjar Varma located on the bank of river Brahmaputra the famous nine line inscription of Harjjar Varma (approximately 815-834 AD). Overnight stay in Tezpur.

Day 6

Tezpur – Guwahati

Transfer to Guwahati and drop at the airport or railway station for your onward journey. We hope you take back happy memories and await your return for another exciting trip with us.
