ARUNACHAL TRIBAL TOUR

ARRIVAL

• Arrive at Dibrugarh and travel to the hotel for overnight stay.

DISCOVER PASIGHAT

• Drive to Passigath. After a short while, cross the Brahmaputra River by a ferry; this takes about 6 hrs. 
• Overnight stay in Pasighat.

PASIGHAT - AALO

• Proceed towards Aalo from Pasighat. The drive will take you along the Siang River.
• En route visit Adi Minyong village.
• Overnight stay in Aalo.

EXPLORE AALO

• Discover the tribal villages at Jirdin. You can also visit the emporium.
• There are many beautiful Adi tribal villages around the town that offer a glimpse into the unique culture of the Adi people.
• The suspension bridge over Siang River, which is around 14 kms from town, is one of the main attractions. 

The suspension bridge is made of cane and bamboo and is around 60 to 70 meters long. This is a fine example of Adi craftsmanship.              

• Overnight stay in Aalo.  

AALO - MECHUKA

• Proceed towards Mechuka (190 kms/6 hrs drive). En route visit tribal villages and Tagin tribal villages.
• Mechuka is inhabited by the Memba, Ramo, Bokar, and Libo tribes. The prime tourist attraction here is the 400-year-old Samten Yongcha Monastery on the western edge of the Mechuka village.
• Overnight stay in Mechuka.

EXPLORE MECHUKA

• After breakfast, set out to explore the place in detail. Visit the Yorlung Camp at a height of 7,900 feet and meet those protecting the boundaries of the country. 
• The gate of the camp is the last point where civilians are allowed without any special permission.
• Overnight stay in Mechuka.

HIKE

• Hike up to the top of the hill to visit a 400-year-old Buddhist monastery where you can see many carvings, structures, and other ancient artifacts which though passed down so many hands and generations are still very well maintained.
• After you walk back down to your homestay, bond with your hosts over some ‘chang’ while you learn how to make some of their traditional food.
• Overnight stay in Mechuka.

MECHUKA - AALO

• You will be taken to Aalo.
• Overnight stay in Aalo.

AALO - PASIGHAT

• Proceed towards Pasighat from Aalo. The drive will take you along the Siang River.
• Overnight stay in Pasighat.

PASIGHAT- DIBRUGARH

• Proceed from Pasighat to Dibrugarh. After a short drive, we cross river Brahmaputra by a ferry that takes about 6 hrs. The huge confluence of the Siang and Lohit rivers of Arunachal Pradesh makes the mighty Brahmaputra river.
• Overnight stay in Dibrugarh.

DEPARTURE

• Travel to Dibrugarh airport. 
• Your trip concludes. Head back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories.
