Itinerary Itinerary


Arrival at Guwahati – Bhalukpong

  • Arrival Guwahati and transfer to Bhalukpong. Make stops along the way as you pass enter gorgeous Arunachal Pradesh – the elevation ascends the whole way. 
  • Overnight at Bhalukpong.
Bhalukpong – Rupa 

  • Start the day with rafting for a few hours, stopping for scenic side-canyon hikes, bathroom breaks, lunch if included and possible swimming/cliff jumping opportunities. 
  • Post rafting, you’ll be transferred back to Hotel. Get fresh, 
  • Transfer to Rupa.
  • Overnight at Rupa.
Rupa Sightseeing

  • Chillipam Monastery is built on a promontory which offers spectacular 270 degree views of the surrounding Eastern Himalayan valleys. More commonly known as Chillipam Gompa, the secluded sanctuary is adorned with some of the region’s most magnificent Buddhist art.
  • Lhagyala Gompa is situated in the mountainside, overlooking the Morshing valley was constructed by Kachen Lama in the 7th century. The term ‘Lhagyala’ means repository of more than hundred large icons. 
  • Gyuto Monastery belongs to the Geluk sect practicing the trantric Buddhism. In 1974, the Gyuto monks from Dalhousie moved to Kalaktang, Arunachal Pradesh, where a monastery and monk quarters were built. 
  • Shergaon – Stop at State Horticulture Farm with a total of 24 varieties of apple are grown. The monoliths of Shergaon are another unique feature of the place.
  • Overnight at Rupa
Rupa – Bomdila

  • Bomdila Monastery - Followers of Mahayana Buddhism consider this place sacred. The monastery resembles Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet. 
  • R.R. Hill being Bomdila’s highest point. Apart from the scenic landscape that is the specialty of Bomdila, you can also view the road that leads to Tawang and to Bhutan’s border.
  • Craft Centre and Ethnographic Museum is precisely where you need to be if you want to experience the essence of the culture and lifestyle of Bomdila. The hand woven carpets, traditional masks, and wall hangings are uniquely designed. 
  • Bomdila War Memorial and View Point is built in the memory of our soldiers who laid down their lives protecting our country in 1962, Bomdila War. The view from this place is amazing since it is at the highest point and you can see the enchanting Himalayas to the north and beautiful Bomdila town on the south.
  • Overnight at Rupa
Rupa – Tezpur

  • Drive from Rupa to Tezpur post check in the afternoon visit 
  • Chitralekha Udhyan - Established by a British Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Cole in 1906, the park has two massive ornamented stone pillars, and other sculptural remnants.
  • Mahabhairab Temple - This temple is believed to have been established by king Bana with a Siva lingam. Formerly, this temple was built of stone but the present one is built of concrete.
  • Nine lines Inscription of Harjjar Varma located on the bank of river Brahmaputra the famous nine line inscription of Harjjar Varma (approximately – 815 – 834 AD)
  • Overnight Tezpur
Tezpur – Guwahati - Departure

  • Transfer to Guwahati and drop to Airport or Railway station for onward journey.
