Itinerary Itinerary


Arrival Dibrugarh/Tinsukia - Roing

  • Arrival Dibrugarh and transfer to Roing. 
  • En route stop at the Dhola Sadiya or Dr Bhupen Hazarika Bridge the longest Bridge in India with span of 9.16 kms, connecting Dhola on the southern banks to Sadiya on the northern banks of Brahmaputra River. 
  • Afternoon visit local market.
  • Overnight at Roing.
Roing - Anini 

  • Drive to Anini through the town of Hunli
  • Sally Lake - The lake is situated at a distance of 3.8 km from Roing town amidst lush green forest, overlooking the beautiful valley down below on the far horizon and the gushing Dibang River spreading its branches in multiple directions. 
  • Mayudia pass is located at 56 km from the district HQ Roing. The Mayudia pass stands at an elevation of 2655 mtr. (8711 ft.) above sea level. The pass normally witnesses snowfall form November to March but heavy snowfall in January and February manage in attracting a lot of domestic tourists. 
  • Hunli- a picturesque town nestled in a beautiful valley at an altitude of 5000 feet is this town of Hunli. The 90 kms drive from Roing to Hunli crossing the Mayudia Pass at an altitude of 8800 feet through the well maintained black topped road provides thrill and eye catching scenic beauty.
  • Overnight at Anini
Anini - Dambeun – Chai Pani Camp

  • Drive to Dambeun, the last motor able village and after that one can go on foot for trekking.
  • Trek to Chai Pani Camp for overnight stay the trail is with a gradual climb.  
  • Overnight at Chai Pani Camp
Chai Pani Camp - Chigu Camp

  • Short trek with some climbing to do this place gets snow in winters and the vegetation will change from Indo Malayan forest to a Pine dominated forest. 
  • Overnight at Chigu Camp
Chigu Camp - Pathar Camp

  • Gradual walk to Pathar Camp which has one of the best views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The most interesting place is Cardien Bridge (named after the builder an officer named Cardien)
  • There are quite a few interesting waterfalls and small streams along the trail. One can chance upon abundant wildlife including Takins.
  • Overnight at Pathar Camp.
Pathar Camp - Barouni Camp

  • Last ascend in the trail which would lead to the Barouni Camp. Under the mountains with three major passes crossing over to Tibet Adzamkho la, Aguia la and  Tsang Khang la. 
  • Overnight at Barouni Camp
Barouni - Rest Day

  • Rest & explore the forest nearby side stream and the forest, and the small Idu-Mishmis communities. These were the trading post with Tibetan villages of Chimdro and Zayul.
  • Overnight at Barouni Camp
Barouni – Chigu Camp

  • Trek back to the camp.
  • Overnight at Chigu Camp
Chigu Camp – Dembuen

  • Return back to the camp site. 
    Overnight at Dembuen.
Dembeun - Anin Roing

  • Return back to the campsite and rest.
  • Overnight at Roing
Departure 

  • Transfer to Tinsukia Railway station / Dibrugarh Airport for onward journey.
