Location Overview:

Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO heritage site spread across the Brahmaputra Valley floodplains. It comprises grasslands, wetlands, and forests and is home to the world’s highest population of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. You can spot the Ganges River dolphins and migratory birds within the national park which are a special treat for visitors.

Itinerary Itinerary


Guwahati –Kaziranga sightseeing

Early morning after breakfast you will head to Kaziranga. The total journey time is approximately 5 to 6 hours. This will include a lunch break where you will taste authentic Assamese food.

After reaching Kaziranga by afternoon, you will check in to your homestay and later go on a sightseeing tour to a tea garden, coffee plantation, and the Orchid and Biodiversity Park where you can see several colourful flowers and plants.

The highlight of the day will be enjoying the traditional dance performances performed by the locals and exploring the local street markets of Kaziranga.

Later in the evening, head back to the homestay to enjoy a hearty dinner and rest.  

Kaziranga National Park safari and departure

Early morning, we take you for the much-awaited elephant ride inside Kaziranga National Park. The safari ride lasts for around 3 hours. As you go deeper into the wilderness, you will witness more diverse wildlife.   

Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage Site and was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 2007. It is famous for the endangered one-horned rhino. You can also spot barasingha deer, golden langur, and hog seer among others. There are also several other rare bird species found here including hornbills and old-world babblers.

Post the elephant ride you will head back to the homestay for breakfast. After breakfast, it’s time for a jeep safari. The jeep safari covers more ground of the park and you will get to explore the place to its core.  After the safari, you will come back to the homestay for lunch.

With a full stomach and happy memories, you will be driven back to Guwahati, which is almost a 4-hour drive from Kaziranga. You will reach Guwahati by late evening.
