Location Overview:

Arunachal Pradesh is known as the "Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains" or land of the rising sun because the first sunrise in India is seen in its town of Dong. You will find breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, diverse indigenous cultures, and unspoiled beauty here. 

Assam has some important wildlife sanctuaries, making it a very prime biodiversity hotspot in the world. Kaziranga National Park is the world's best reserve for the Great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, something you will see during the safari. 

Meghalaya shares its border with Assam, its capital city Shillong just 2 hours away from Guwahati. You will visit its prominent cities of Shillong, and Cherrapunjee.

Itinerary Itinerary


ARRIVAL

  • After your arrival in Guwahati airport you will proceed towards Shillong.
  • After you reach Shillong check-in hotel and freshen up, if time permits you may visit Cathedral of Mary and Ward’s Lake.
  • Later in the evening you can explore Shillong’s famous Police Bazaar.
  • Overnight stay in hotel.
EXPLORE SHILLONG

  • You will be driving to Cherrapunjee – the second wettest place on the earth.
  • You can also visit the famous Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shillong.
  • At Cherrapunjee visit you will be visiting Mawsmai cave, a natural cave that would surely add some of the thrill to your adventure, Seven Sisters Falls; where you can experience seven amazing waterfalls complimenting each other and Nohkalikai Falls, a waterfall which has its own mystery. 
  • After having your lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah and drive back to Shillong.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.
Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during the winter season.
SHILLONG - BHALUKPONG

  • After having your breakfast you will drive to Bhalukpong which is (300 kms / 7 hrs drive).
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Bhalukpong.
BHALUKPONG - DIRANG   

  • After breakfast you will be driven to Dirang which is  (180 kms / 08 hrs), enroute at Tipi visit Orchid Center and on the way visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end March till May), reach Dirang and visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Dirang .
DIRANG - TAWANG

  • After having your breakfast you will drive to Tawang which is (160 kms / 08 hrs), en route you will visit Sella Pass and Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. you can also visit Jaswant Ghah and before reaching Tawang visit the Nuranang fall. 
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Tawang.
TAWANG

  • Visit the Tawang Monestry - The Famous Gaden Namgyal Lhatse, popularly known as Tawang Monastery which was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in the year 1680-81.
  • You can also visit Urgelling Monastery - the birth place of Sixth Dalai Lama and  Ani Gompa.
  • After having your lunch visit Tawang War Memorial.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel.
Note- Our vehicles are not allowed for Pangateng Tso Lake and Madhuri lake sightseeing at Tawang, hence, guests have to hire local vehicle and our driver will assist the guests, but please note that we or our driver have no control for the same. Additional cost of hiring vehicle at Tawang: Between Rs.4500/- and Rs.5500/- (depending on the places of visit, excluding visit to Bumla Border (India-China border).
TAWANG - BOMDILA

  • After having your breakfast you will drive to Bomdila which is (195 Km / 7 hrs drive).
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Bomdila.
BOMDILA - KAZIRANGA

  • After having your breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park which is (235 kms / 07 hrs).
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Kaziranga.
Explore Kaziranga 

  • After a hearty breakfast, explore the Park on a Jeep Safari.
  • In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-km, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
  • After that you will be proceeding towards Guwahati 
  • Overnight stay in a hotel.
Note: This is for your information that elephant ride and jeep safari and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the Forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. As such we do not have any control for booking of the elephant seats and entry by jeeps.
DEPARTURE

  • After breakfast drive to airport/ train station
  • Your trip concludes. Head Back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories
