Arrival – Guwahati

• Arrive at Guwahati airport and transfer to the hotel.

• En route to the hotel, visit Kamakhya Mandir.
• 
  
• The temple is situated at the top of Nilachal Hill about 800 feet above sea level. The temple complex houses the main Devi temple and other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi, and Dhumavati.

• Later visit Sankardev Kalakhetra for a light and sound show or opt for a Brahmaputra river cruise on direct payment.

• Overnight at stay in Guwahati.

• Note: Sightseeing is possible if you arrive in the morning.

Guwahati – Shillong

• After breakfast, you will visit Nabagraha Temple and then drive to Shillong (120 km /3-hr drive approx).
• 
  
• Check in to the hotel and proceed with Shillong local sightseeing tour.
• 
  
• Overnight stay in Shillong.

 Shillong- Cherrapunjee 

• After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (60 km/2-hr drive approx one way) and check into your resort.
• 
  
• You will start your trek to Single Decker Living Root Bridge - 3-4 hours from the resort. 
• 
  
• The 4 km trek starts from the Resort premises and goes downhill through Sohsarat Village. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps going downhill. A jungle path going along the sides of the hill leads to the Living Root Bridge.
• 
  
• Trek back to the resort and enjoy the evening with local music played by the local boys.
• 
  
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

OR

• En route to Cherrapunjee, visit the famous Elephant Falls.
• 
  
• In Cherrapunjee, visit Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, and Nohkalikai Falls.
• 
  
• Post lunch, visit Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah.
• 
  
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
• 
  
• Note: Falls are active during monsoon.

 Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Shillong

• After breakfast, go on an excursion to Mawlynnong (100 km /3-hr drive approx).
• 
  
• Drive back to Shillong for an overnight stay.

• Mawlynnong village is dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine. You get an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh. A day in this village will give you an insight into the life of the Khasis.

• Note: It is advisable to carry have packed lunch to Mawlynnong. 

Shillong – Guwahati airport drop

• After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport (140 km/4-hr drive approx). 
• 
  
• Your trip concludes. Head back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories.
