Peshok village is located above Teesta Bazar around the Peshok Tea Garden, just 15 min away from Teesta Bazar at an elevation of 4500 ft. from sea level. Peshok Tea Garden is gaining popularity among offbeat tourism lovers. Winter is cold with average winter temperature is between 7° Celsius and 15° Celsius. It’s an ideal holiday destination almost throughout the year, the best season to visit is between the autumn months of October to November and spring time of February to March. During this time Peshok Tea Garden is neither too hot nor cold and the weather is perfect for a weekend gateway.
Lamahatta is located at an altitude of about 5,700 feet and at a distance of 23kms from Darjeeling hill town and just 5 kms from Peshok. Although it's just a small village where farming and cattle rearing are the main sources of livelihood, Lamahatta is well connected by the Darjeeling-Kalimpong state highway. The main inhabitants here are tribes like Sherpas, Yalmos, Tamangs, Bhutias and Dukpas. This place offers undisturbed views of the mountains across the valley with Cedar & Pine forest above the village area. A small garden in the pine forest has been created.

Tinchuley is a small mountain village (rather a hamlet) in Darjeeling district and located at an altitude of 5,800ft, and just 3 kms above Takdah. The word Tinchuley means Three Ovens ( Chullahs), because of the three prominent hill tops that surround the place and which from far look like ovens or chullahs. Tinchuley faces the Kalimpong hills, WWF has been actively assisting some families here to develop a model organic village and promote village tourism. There a number of activities available from walks to knowing the locals way of life to visiting orange orchards to hiking to the caves.

The view of the river Great Rangeet meeting Teesta is an awesome treat for the nature lovers. And any such reward doesn't come easy. You will need to travel a bit from Darjeeling to experience this confluence. The river Rangeet with its deep green and crystal clear water gushes in and meets the forceful mountain stream Teesta at a point called Triveni. The confluence takes place at a relatively flat terrain, and is surrounded by mountains in all sides. The long valley at the base of the mountains is spectacular.
