Hmuifang Village

Located at a distance of 50 kms to the south of Aizawl, Hmuifang Mountain with an elevation of 1619 metres, is still covered with virgin forests reserved since the days of the Mizo chiefs. The mountain also has beautiful cliffs and offers great views of the surrounding hills. To the nature lovers, the surrounding forests abound with fascinating varieties of flora including rare orchids and wildlife especially avifauna.

Lungleng Lal In

It is a century old Residence of the famous Mizo Chief, Khamliana Sailo at Lungleng village in Aizawl District. It is the first house in Mizoram having a tin roof built back in 1918. A few structural replacements were made recently to prevent collapse due to wear and tear of the house. The house is surrounded by a huge clearing of grassy green glades ideal for picnics. It is about an hour drive approx. 30 kms from Aizawl city on the way to Hmuifang village.

Tualvungi leh Zawlpala thlan

Located on top of a peak at Phulpui village, about 35 kms to the south of Aizawl,"the gravestone of Tualvungi and Zawlpala" is a testimony to a tragic love story that has inspired many ballads. Known far and wide in her time for her beauty, Tualvungi was in love with Zawlpala, a brave and handsome warrior, their love, marriage and separation who were to be reunited only years later in death, when their spirits turned into a pair of yellow butterflies.
