Kirtipur is an ancient city in Nepal. The Newars are the natives of Kipoo (Kirtipur) that is believed to be derived from Kirati King Yalamber. It is located in the Kathmandu Valley 5 km southwest of the city of Kathmandu. It is one of the most famous and religious places to visit.
Nagar Mandap Shri Kirti Bihar is one of the famous historical places located at the Naya Bazzar Kirtipur. This is a Theravada Buddhist monastery constructed on traditional Thai architecture style. This Thai monastery is a very famous place to visit in Kritipur. You will see a small garden and a pond which makes Bihar more beautiful. Visitors can also enter inside the Thai Hall where a different statue of Lord Buddha has been kept.
