Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (NIT) is a Tibetan museum in Gangtok. The NIT library holds one of the largest collections of Tibetan works in the world outside of Tibet and a museum of Tibetan iconography and religious art. There are even shops where you can buy beautiful handicrafts made by the Tibetan people. The complex is located on a hill called Dho Thapu.
Do-drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa, a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur (Holy Books) and other religious objects.
Dordrul Monastery – Located around the Chorten with number of prayer halls and a butter lamp hall where one can light butter lamps for well being and happiness.
Deorali Mani Lakhang – Located just below the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology housing one of the largest Mani’s (Prayer Wheel) along with a small Ani Gompa (Nun’s monastery)
