Ranka village is located in Gangtok Tehsil of East District district in Sikkim, India. It is situated 16km away from Gangtok, which is both district & sub-district headquarter of Ranka village.
Ani Gumpa (monastery) lies amid the beautiful backdrop of Ranka, East Sikkim. Ms. Kesang Chungyalpa with her noble intention to promote the Buddha Dharma founded it in 2005. It was given the religious name Khachoed Pemayulling.
Lingdum Monastery is a Buddhist pilgrimage centre following the Zurmang Kagyu sect of the ancient school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is under the spiritual direction of H. E. Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche, who is the 12th successive successor of the Kagyu sect. The monastery symbolizes the Tibetan Buddhist architecture and an eye-catching portion is its apex carved with parasols, finials, and pagoda roofs over a vast courtyard.
