Tashi View Point is one of the major attractions of Gangtok and is located at a distance of 8 km from the main town. The place is a must visit for nature lovers as it offers great views of the imposing Himalayan mountains, specifically Mount Khangchendzonga and Mount Siniolchu. Also, you can enjoy spectacular views of Labrang Monastery and Phodong Monastery, which are located near the view point.
Fambanglo Wildlife Sanctuary Located beyond the village of Pangthang, is home to Red Panda, bears and a number of birds, if lucky one can sight the musk deers also. Fambanglo is ideal for a short days hike.
Cycling to Ganesh Tok – One of the best mountain biking experience as one rides a short 10 kms ride to Ganesh tok with the Khangchendzonga massif all along the road. Enjoy the city view of Gangtok from Ganesh tok.
Samriti Ban – The garden with where one can plant a tree as a remembrance of your visit. A plant conservatory is also located within the park area.
Lhasa Falls – This beautiful water fall is located a kilometer away from Tashi View Point on the way to Ganesh Tok. One can enjoy the mountain views and also stop for a small zip line.
ATV Ride - All Terrain Vehicles are available at the exit gate of Himalayan Zoological Park. A round trip ride for 30 mins is available. Its advised to book in advance as the no of vehicles are limited.
