Day 1
ARRIVAL
After arriving at Bagdogra/N.J.P., you will head towards Gangtok through N.H. 10, with the Teesta River accompanying you throughout the journey. Overnight stay at a hotel in Gangtok,Sikkim.
Day 2
SIGHTSEEING
You will definitely enjoy the wonderful places you get to visit. You can start your day by visiting the waterfalls in and around Gangtok, especially the Banjhakri and Bakthang waterfalls - both of these falls have their own unique features and are natural and mesmerizing. You can get your picture clicked while wearing the traditional dress. If you are looking for a place to refresh and rejuvenate yourself, then you must visit Tashi View Point. This place offers you a pleasant ambiance where you can enjoy the cool breeze and have a look at the beautiful scenery. The star attraction of the view point is the park at the top. The view point is one of the best places to enjoy beautiful views of Gangtok and the Himalayas. Handloom & Handicrafts Centre is the only place where you can see and buy wonderful craft work. Hand-woven carpets, traditional Sikkimese dresses, Tibetan-style furniture, and beautifully crafted toys are a few of the products made by the students enrolled here. Enchey Monastery and Do Drul Chorten (stupa) & Namgyal Institute of Tibetology are two important religious places that you should visit. Each one has its own importance. At the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, you will visit the museum, which houses a rare collection of statues, ritual objects, and traditional art objects. You can also visit the library, which holds one of the largest collections of Tibetan works in the world outside Tibet. The flower show is held every year during late March and April, when alpine flowers are in bloom. It’s worth peeping inside this modestly sized covered garden that has changing displays of potted flowers around a central pond. After visiting all these places, go for an evening stroll at M.G. Marg to mingle with the locals of Sikkim. Enjoy eating the local cuisine and return back. You can spend the night at the hotel, and if luck favors, you might just get the night view of Mt. Khangchendzonga range.
Day 3
EXCURSION TO TSOMGO LAKE-NATHULA-GNATHANG- ZULUK
Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass lie in the same route. Both these places are amazingly beautiful. Nathu La is a mountain pass in East Sikkim. It connects Sikkim with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The pass, at 4,310 mtrs, Forms a part of an offshoot for the ancient Silk Road. However, you need to have a permit to visit Nathula border. Tsomgu Lake is (3,000 mtrs.) 32 kms from Gangtok. It is an oval-shaped lake 1 km long and 15 mtrs deep. This lake is very sacred for the local people. Try being a sport and enjoy this mesmerizing view from the ropeway. Boating in Hangu Lake is also possible. It is only a few kilometers away from Tsomgo Lake. You can visit Baba Mandir, which is a distinguished sightseeing place of Sikkim. This “mandir” or shrine is dedicated to “Baba” Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who died near Nathula Pass. Zuluk. Zuluk was once a transit point to the historic Silk Route from Tibet to India, Zuluk was connected through Lhasa (Tibet) and India. It was commonly used by traders for travelling to Tibet through Jelep-La ("La" stands for mountain pass) as an overnight base. You can spend a night at a homestay in Zuluk.
Day 4
ZULUK - PELLING
After having your breakfast, you will leave from Zuluk and drive towards Pelling with breathtaking vistas of green forests and gushing rivers. If you are not tired after the long journey, you can go for a leisurely walk in the evening and enjoy the natural beauty of Pelling. Spend the night at a hotel with the magnificent view of Mt. Khangchendzonga.
Day 5
PELLING SIGHTSEEING
After having breakfast, you can explore Darap village, a 10-minutes drive downhill from Pelling. Winding through cardamom coppice and terraced paddy fields, with the view of Mt. Khangchendzonga in the backdrop and the villages of Yuksam and Khecheopalri garnishing the foreground, one reaches the picturesque village of Darap in West Sikkim. You can stop by at the Rimbi and Khangchendzonga waterfalls. Spend some memorable moments with your loved ones here and take back some good memories. You can also enjoy the peace and tranquility of the wish-fulfilling Khecheopalri Lake. An interesting feature of the lake is that the leaves are not allowed to float on the lake, which is ensured by the birds that industriously pick them up as soon as they drop onto the lake surface. In the second half of your tour, you can visit the Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins. History freaks will have a great time exploring Rabdentse ruins, which was also the ancient capital of Sikkim. On your way you can visit the new helipad ground and click awesome pictures. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 6
PELLING- RAVANGLA - NAMCHI
After an early morning breakfast, drive towards Namchi via Ravangla. Your sightseeing includes: Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park) in Ravangla: The site was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Gompa (monastery), itself a centuries-old place of pilgrimage. Also nearby is Ralang Monastery, a key monastery in Tibetan Buddhism. Samdruptse, Sai Mandir: Both these places are located in Namchi. They are very beautiful and famous tourist attractions too. Samdruptse Temple is a very peaceful and serene place. There is huge statue of Guru Padmasambhava, which is a true man-made wonder. You can stay at the temple and enjoy the calmness and the beautiful garden near the temple. Sai mandir, which is a two-storied building, is painted in golden colour that makes it difficult to ignore in broad daylight. It is a modern marvel with a spacious first floor that can accommodate many devotees at once. It also has a marble statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and paintings of Lord Vishnu. Char Dham: Char Dham, the four most revered Dhams of the Hindus have been replicated in this fantastic complex to benefit the devotees and tourists. You will spend the night at a hotel in Ravangla.
Day 7
DEPARTURE
You will leave for Bagdogra/N.J.P. with the last glimpse of River Teesta that originates in the glaciers of Sikkim before disappearing in the Bengal plains. Your trip concludes. Head back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories.
