Day 1
Arrival - Gangtok
Meet and greet on arrival at NJP/ Bagdogra airport. Drive to Gangtok. The 5-hour journey (125 km) will take you alongside the green-colored Teesta River and spectacular hill and mountain views. You can spend your evening at leisure exploring the streets of Gangtok.
Day 2
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
After breakfast, get ready for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Mandir. You can enjoy the ropeway ride at Tsomgo Lake (the highest in Asia) on a direct payment basis. Note: Nathu La Pass depends on weather conditions and Govt permit. It's not included in the package and will be on a direct payment basis.
Day 3
Gangtok Sightseeing - Darjeeling Transfer
Make sure you don’t skip your breakfast as you’ll be exploring the wonderful city of Gangtok today, and there are a lot of things to see. Your day tour will include visiting the famous Bakthang waterfalls, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and Do Drul Chorten. To get a thrilling view of Gangtok city and the surrounding mountains, you will be taken to Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, and a ride on the ropeway. Later transfer to Darjeeling.
Day 4
Darjeeling Sightseeing
Get ready to experience a sunrise like never before. You might be a bit grumpy from waking up early this morning but we promise you, once you’re at Tiger Hill, the view of the sunrise from atop makes everything worthwhile. On your way back, you’ll visit New Ghoom Monastery, which preserves some rare handwritten Buddhist manuscripts. Next, you’ll head to Batasia Loop, where the toy train passes in a loop- like a pattern. From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Darjeeling’s picture-perfect landscape. It’s now time to enjoy a hearty breakfast before you head off to visit the rest of the other attractions. In the second half, you’ll visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P N Zoological Park, Tea State, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre, and Japanese Peace Pagoda. An interesting and puzzling tourist attraction you’ll come across is the Japanese temple built in a traditional Japanese architectural style. It is one of the major Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Darjeeling. In the evening, feel free to go for a romantic walk around the local market area for shopping before you retire for the night in your hotel.
Day 5
Darjeeling– Bagdogra (70 km/ 3 hrs)
In the morning you can go for a Joyride on the Toy Train (on direct payment), Later proceed towards Bagdogra/ NJP, according to your schedule. Your trip concludes. Head back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories.
