Itinerary Itinerary


Guwahati – Shillong

  • Arrive at Guwahati airport and proceed toward Shillong (130 km/3 hrs drive).

  • En route stop at the scenic viewpoint of the Umium Lake (the largest man-made lake in Northeast India).

  • Check into your hotel in Shillong, and if time permits, you can visit the Cathedral of Mary.

  • Visit Shillong’s famous Police Bazaar by foot in the evening.

  • Overnight stay in Shillong.
  • Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and is also known as "The Abode of Clouds." It is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet. It is said that the rolling hills around the town reminded the European settlers of Scotland; hence, it is also referred to as the "Scotland of the East."
Shillong – Cherrapunjee

  • After breakfast, set out to explore Cherrapunjee (56 km/2-hr drive).

  • En route visit Elephant Falls and then drive onwards to Cherrapunjee.

  • At Cherrapunjee you will visit Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth-highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Cave, and Seven Sister Falls.

  • Post lunch, you will visit Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah.

  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee. 
Cherrapunjee – Shillong

  • After breakfast, you will continue your local sightseeing places of Cherrapunjee.

  • Later drive back to Shillong. (60 km /2-hr drive approx one way). 

  • Later visit Ward’s Lake, and Don Bosco Museum.

  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Shillong – Guwahati airport drop


  • After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport (140 km/ 4-hr drive approx).

  • Return home with happy memories and a desire to return for more adventures
