Itinerary Itinerary


ARRIVAL 

  • After arriving at Bagdogra/N.J.P, you will head towards Gangtok through N.H. 10, with the Teesta River accompanying you throughout the journey. When you reach Gangtok, you can go for an evening stroll at M.G Marg. 
  • Afterwards, retreat back to the hotel for a much needed rest.
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok.
EXCURSION TRIP TO TSOMGO LAKE AND BABA MANDIR 

  • You will be travelling to Tsomgo Lake (3,000 mtrs.)

32 kms from Gangtok, this oval-shaped lake spans 1 km and is 15 mtrs deep. This lake is very sacred for the local people. You can also enjoy its mesmerizing view from the ropeway. 

  • You can do Boating in Hangu Lake, which is few kilometers away from Tsomgo Lake; you can also enjoy the beauty of the place from a boat.
  • You can also visit Nathu La Pass, which is a mountain pass in East Sikkim. It connects Sikkim with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The pass, at 4,310 mtrs, forms a part of an offshoot for the ancient Silk Road.
  • You will also visit Baba Mandir, which is a distinguished sightseeing place of Sikkim. 

This “mandir” or shrine is dedicated to “Baba” Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who died near Nathula Pass.

  • Overnight stay in a hotel in Gangtok. 
TRAVEL TO NAMCHI

  • After an early morning breakfast, drive towards Namchi via Temi Tea Garden
  • Your sightseeing includes: 
  • Temi Tea Garden: Temi Tea Garden is the only tea estate in the state of Sikkim and is very beautiful.
  • Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park) in Ravangla: The site was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Gompa (monastery), which itself is a centuries-old place of pilgrimage. Also nearby is Ralang Monastery, a key monastery in Tibetan Buddhism. 
  • Samdruptse, Sai Mandir, & Char Dham: Samdruptse Temple is a very peaceful and serene place.
There is huge statue of Guru Padmasambhava, which is a true man-made wonder. You can stay at the temple and enjoy the calmness and the beautiful garden near the temple. Sai mandir, which is a two-storied building is painted in golden colour that makes it difficult to ignore in broad daylight. It is a modern marvel with a spacious first floor that can accommodate many devotees at once. It also has a marble statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and paintings of Lord Vishnu.

  • Char Dham: Char Dham, the four most revered Dhams of the Hindus have been replicated in this fantastic complex to benefit the devotees and tourists.
  • You will spend the night at a hotel in Namchi.
TRAVEL TO PELLNG 

  • Drive to Pelling with breathtaking vistas of green forests and gushing rivers.
  • In the evening, go for a stroll to enjoy the natural beauty of Pelling. 
  • Spend the night at a hotel with the magnificent view of Mt. Khangchendzonga.
PELLING SIGHTSEEING 

  • Explore Darap village, a 10-minutes drive downhill from Pelling. 
Winding through cardamom coppice and terraced paddy fields, with the view of Mt. Khangchendzonga in the backdrop and the villages of Yuksam and Khecheopalri garnishing the foreground, one reaches the picturesque village of Darap in West Sikkim 

  • Stop by at the Rimbi waterfall and Khangchendzonga waterfall. Spend some memorable moments with your loved ones here. 
  • Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the wish-fulfilling lake - Khecheopalri Lake. 
An interesting feature of the lake is that leaves are not allowed to float on the lake, which is ensured by the birds that industriously pick them up as soon as they drop into the lake surface

  • In the afternoon, start for Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruin. History enthusiasts will have a great time exploring the Rabdentse ruins or the ancient capital of Sikkim.
  • Overnight stay in Pelling.
DEPARTURE 

  • Leave for Bagdogra/N.J.P. with the last glimpse of River Teesta that originates in the glaciers of Sikkim before disappearing in the Bengal plains.
  • Your trip concludes. Head back home with lots of pictures and awesome memories.
