Arrival − Ravangla
We will pick you up from Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station and drive you to the small tourist town of Ravangla.
To fully embrace the native way of life, we’ve booked you at a home stay, where you can experience local hospitality, food, and lodging.
Ravangla Sightseeing
Switch into your “zen” mode as you eat your breakfast because we have the most laid-back activities lined up for you today.
You will start by taking a pleasant village walk with a local guide, who will explain the village’s history, traditional way of life, show you into the homes of the locals, tell you about medicinal plants etc. Afterwards, you will be taken to see the orchid floriculture farms. If time permits, you’ll make a quick visit to Shivalaya Mandir at Zarung Village.
Once you’re back at the home stay, there will be a bonfire waiting for you. Take the time to unwind, catch up, and interact with the host family while having dinner.
Ravangla & Namchi Sightseeing
You will be seeing some very scenic places today. After breakfast, you will go on a car tour, covering local spots such as Seven Mirror Lake, Ravangla Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal), and New Ralang Monastery.
Enroute you will visit Temi Tea Estate, the only tea estate in the state of Sikkim, where you can enjoy strolling inside the tea gardens, tasting teas, ziplining and more.
You will finally check into a home stay in Namchi for the night.
Namchi Sightseeing
Namchi is a hotspot for pilgrims, as it’s dotted with many monasteries. The structures are really spectacular and that’s why we will take you on a sightseeing tour that will include Samdruptse Hill, Siddeshwar Sai Mandir, and Char Dham.
Samdruptse Temple houses a huge statue of Guru Padmasambhava, which is a true man-made wonder. Sai Mandir, a shimmering golden beauty houses a marble statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and paintings of Lord Vishnu. The four most revered dhams of the Hindus have been replicated in the Char Dham complex to benefit devotees and tourists.
Enjoy your trip’s last evening at the bustling Namchi Bazaar.
