TEMI ADVENTURE-SIKKIM

 Arrival – Temi Village

We will pick you up from Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station and drive you to Temi village, situated in Namchi, South Sikkim. As you enter South Sikkim and gradually ascend onto the southern hills, your drive will take you up wide winding roads amidst scenic tea gardens.

Experiencing Temi Tea Garden is incomplete without staying at one of the numerous homestays in the estate area, so that’s what we’ve booked for your accommodation tonight. 

You will be checking into a wonderful homestay on arrival. You can stroll around the beautiful surroundings, chat with your hosts, and eat a home-cooked traditional meal with them.

Sightseeing

Get ready to have a day of fun and learning. After breakfast, you will visit the tea garden and tea factory to experience firsthand on how tea is produced. You will learn about the growing process, different flushes, and eventually sample a few teas grown at the estate.

After lunch, you will leave for Damthang Biodiversity Park. This is home to endangered species such as flying squirrels and barking deer.

You will stay in Damthang tonight in a campsite. It’s going to be exciting as you can look forward to a scrumptious barbeque and dinner around a campfire. 

Trekking and Camping

Wake up to an early start as you trek up to Tendong Hill this morning. Don’t worry; it’s a fairly easy trek of approx. 6 km, which again won’t seem much as you walk through a forest of oak, cedar, and rhododendron. After reaching the top, you will see Chola range on the eastern border of Sikkim and Singhalila range on the western border.

You will have a packed lunch somewhere during your trek and then back to Damthang Biodiversity Park for overnight camping. Once again enjoy delicious barbeque and dinner around the campfire.

Departure

We will drive you to Bagdogra airport/N.J.P. railway station soon after breakfast. We hope you take back happy memories and await your return for another exciting trip with us.
