Baghmara Reserve Forest is at a distance of 4 kms from the main town of Baghmara. Balpaktram National Park is 65 kms from Baghmara Reserve Forest and is totally a forest area, hence, providing animals a vast locale to habitat.
This area is rich in flora and fauna. A lot of variety of animals, flowers, plants and birds can be spot here. Species like leapord, langurs, elephant, gaur etc. are seen here. Elephants are the best to see as mostly their herds keep moving around forest area. This thick forest is also famous for carnivorous pitcher plants.
