Chitwan National Park in Nepal was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984; it is the first national park in Nepal. It comprises a dense forest and grassy plains and is home to rare animals like the one-horn rhino, Bengal tigers, crocodiles, and deer.
