Delo Hill which is located at a distance of 7 kilometres away from Kalimpong town is one of the must-visit hills in the small town of Kalimpong. Kalimpong is situated on a ridge connecting the two hills, Durpin and Delo. The Delo hill is almost above the sea level of 5590 feet and it is the highest point of the town of Kalimpong. Delo hill offers a beautiful view of the valleys since the town Kalimpong is surrounded by villages of Relli valley, Teesta River and its valleys; it also provides a panoramic 360-degree view of Kalimpong town and its neighbouring places. Many people both the locals and the tourist visits this beautiful place of Kalimpong, the parks offers one of the best views of Mt. Kanchendzongna and the River Teesta. If you are lucky enough then you can see the snow-clad mountains of West Sikkim from Delo Hill during the clear day. The park has different kinds of exotic flowers and recreation is the main purpose of the park since it is away from the noisy city and one can enjoy the peace and beautiful scenario from the park. The garden is very well maintained and it is also one of the best places for a kid since it is an open area and the kids will really enjoy strolling around.
Some local people will also be standing along with their ponies and the kids along with an adult can enjoy the pony ride. One can also do a paragliding.
Many locals gather in the park with their friends and family as it is one of the best picnic spots for both the locals and the tourists. At a top of the hill three water reservoirs, two of which serve as the primary drinking water source to the town are present.
