Also known as PIA Park, Lele Memorial Park lies in Lele, on the outskirts of Lalitpur district. It is 14 km from Lagankhel bus park of Patan. Lele is a beautiful suburb, a valley within the valley, with pleasing and astounding natural sights that one could hardly find in the bustling capital city.

Lele Memorial Park was constructed in 1992 in memory of the 167 people that sadly lost their lives during a Pakistan international airline crash on September 28, 1992. A total of 167 people lost their lives in this tragedy; among them were 155 passengers and 12 crew members. The Park is relatively unknown to most people as it is not as popular in the media and tourism sector as it is shadowed by other notable monuments in the valley. However, every year on the 28th of September, foreigners who are relatives of the deceased visit the place to commemorate their loved ones.
Lele Memorial Park
Though the park is in close proximity to the main Lele roadways, the place is unbelievably quiet and peaceful. The entry to the park is free, and there is no proper entrance gate that leads to the park. Lele Memorial Park lies about 50 m inside from the road, and the forest path directly leads to the Park. It is surrounded with greenery and cool ambience. The aesthetic and the construction of the main monument look amazing. The structure is a wide circular panorama where two walls are erected and inside are the inscribed names of the deceased who lost their life in the tragic event of 1992.
