The underdogs of Indian tourism, Northeast India bags the most underrated and incredible adventure destination. The region offers unparalleled natural beauty and humble hospitality. Thanks to social media and its influencers, Northeast is finally getting the recognition it deserves as an ideal tourism destination in India.

Reaching here isn't as complex as one might think. There are two major airports that connects the Northeast from the rest of the nation. IXB airport in Siliguri W.B is the nearest airport to Darjeeling and Sikkim. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati is the gateway to the seven sisters namely - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. Although direct flights are available for Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura form major cities; locals often avoid opting for direct flights due to expensive fair and unfavorable weather conditions which often results in cancelation. It is advised to take a flight to Guwahati and opt for bus or cab for further journey.

Here's an ideal route to explore the hotspots of seven sisters.

Guwahati > Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) > Kaziranga (Assam) > Kohima (Nagaland) > Imphal (Manipur) > Aizwal (Mizoram) > Jampui hills and Agartala (Tripura) > Silchar (Assam) > Shillong and Cherrapunjee (Meghalaya) > Guwahati.

Nagaland

Nagaland is a state that represents unimaginable beauty beaded perfectly for a breathtaking and incomparable experience. Manipur
