The Indian Adventure Tourism Guidelines-2018 include air, water and land-based activities which includes paragliding, kayaking, trekking, mountaineering, bungee jumping, scuba diving, snorkelling, river rafting and many other sports.
The objective of these guidelines is to help adventure tour operators understand and execute safety guidelines in a better manner.
The Indian Adventure Tourism Guidelines-2018 have been framed for 15 Land Based, seven Air Based and seven Water Based activities.
Land-based Adventure Tourism comprises 15 activities - Motorcycle Tours, Wildlife Safaris, Bird Watching, Artificial Wall Climbing & Abseiling, All Terrain Vehicle Tours (ATV), Skiing / Snow Boarding, High Ropes Courses. Bungee Jumping, Trekking, Cycling Tours, Camel Safaris, Horse Safaris, Jeep Safaris, Mountaineering, Personal Light Electric Vehicle Tours and Zip Wires.
Air-Based Adventure Tourism comprises 7 activities - Kite Boarding, Hang Gliding, Air Safaris, Hot Air Ballooning, Ski Diving, Parasailing, Paragliding and Para Motoring.
Water-Based Adventure Tourism comprises 7 activities - Rafting, River Cruising, Scuba Diving, Kayaking / Sea Kayaking, Water Sports Centres and Snorkelling.
