Pelga Falls is located 42 kms from Sasatgre Village. Its takes approx 90 min to reach here from taxi. It can also be visited from Tura which is 10 kms through a local jeep or taxi. Road is not very smooth, but manageable.
Pelga Waterfall is not a huge falls, but it spills down into different small tiers that enhance the beauty of this place. It lies in the picturesque corner of the gorgeous forests resting at the foot of the Garo-Khasi Hill Ranges. This waterfall has a peaceful environment and is soothing to eyes. Angling is the best activity here as a lot of fishes can be seen nearby aquatic area due to the naturally formed shape by water and rocks. The Meghalaya Tourism Department has constructed a path to reach waterfall. At the end there is a view point which amazed every visitor by its charming beauty. Nearby is a traditionally constructed bridge over the Ganol River that is built entirely with bamboo.

This place also attracts adventure lovers as they can have a hike in nearby forests along with camping around waterfall. Trekkers’ camps can be seen near Pelga Falls. Botanists also come here to collect samples of herbs and plants.
Pelga Falls can be visited round the year, but monsoons are the best time to see milky white water with full current. The sound of fast flowing water added the flavor to surroundings.
