It is one of the earliest tourist spots with the river forming the border between Sikkim & Bengal. It is an ideal place for angling and river side camping. It is locally called Rishi Khola.
Rishi Khola is situated at the border of West Bengal and Sikkim. Khola in the local language means stream hence the place derives its name from the stream itself. February to April is considered the best time to spot maximum numbers of migratory birds in Rishikhola.
