Rimbick a small town and a small village near the India – Nepal border in the Darjeeling Pulbazar CD block and it is in the Singalila National Park. The Singalila National Park is the trailhead for the Phalut – Sandakphu trek which is one of the famous trek routes. Rimbik is perched on a hill above river Rammam flowing from Sikkim to Bengal. The small town is the last major hamlet in the Bengal side and is close to Nepal and Sikkim boarders. The villages in the surrounding area depend on Rimbik market for their regular supplies. The small village Rimbick is a tourist hub for trekkers travelling to the Singalila National Park area including Sandakphu. Rimbick is in West Bengal and it is almost at a distance of 56 kilometres from the hills of queen, Darjeeling of West Bengal. To reach Rimbick one can trek from Darjeeling or from West Sikkim and the visitor’s can also hire a private taxi or a shared jeep from Darjeeling or nearby places. Besides natural beauty and being the trailhead for the trekking into the Singalila National Park the sleepy hamlet has natural beauty and places of cultural and religious interest. The town is quite close to the village of Srikhola with its hanging suspension bridges. The main attractions of Rimbick is the Tuesday bazaar and there are other tourist destinations to visit in and around Rimbick like Guffa, Hospital Dara View Point, Jarayo Pokhri, Namla Falls and many more. Although Rimbick does not have many touristic places to visit but the place is connected with at least two trek routes one is a direct forest trail coming from Bikebhanjan to Rimbik and the other is Rimbik via Gurdung and Srikhola and one can stay overnight in Rimbick since there are a number of basic accommodations for tourists. The nearest airport is Bagdogra airport and the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri railway station and both the airport and railway station are in West Bengal. From both the places, there are various mode of transportation to reach the destinations.
