The Garden established in the 2006 by the Government of Manipur for the locals as well as tourist. The Garden is located at about 18 km from city centre on the Imphal – Ukhrul Road at Leimakhong which is a good 40 minutes drive from Imphal. The garden has well laid out lanes with seasonal flowers and has has thatched gazebos where people can gather for informal meetings. People usually come here to get a sense of silent beauty of the nature and a mystifying craft works which are on display. There is a small section for children with swings, slides and rope plays, there is a model of bullock cart which were used as a mode of transport in the olden days. Another section called the Adventure site, has rope and wooden ladder walk across a pond for adventurous & fun loving youth along with many to try. It has ponds where lotus bloom and leaves of lily float in green waters. A small aviary along with some domesticated bee hives is tucked away in one corner. The main building of the park houses the craft centre which a collection of local handicrafts mostly made out of clay and Bamboo. Unfortunately this building remains closed most of the time and one has to look at the displays through the windows. The park has a food corner which serves some readymade snacks and beverages like tea & coffee. The park also has a self cooking kitchen facility where people can bring in their own food buy and cook for lunch. Kitchen booking has to be done in advance and has a nominal charge. Entry fee charges are Rs 20.00 with camera charges of Rs 100.00. The park is open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm in the evening.
