The Mipi Pene Center is located at Lower Dibang Valley in Roing at Ezenggo in the northern state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. The center was established in the year of 2017 and it was inaugurated on 1st February 2018 by the Hon’ble CM of Arunachal Pradesh. Mipi Pene refers to the Igu or the Shaman and it was established with the objective of preserving and promoting the Igu system of the Idu Mishmi community. The interested people can learn and this center was established to make an excellent learning center of the Igu system and the tradition and culture of the Idu Mishmis community. The Mipi Pene Center also has a reception in the office and a small seminar hall with a seating capacity of almost a hundred people the seminar hall is named Igu hall. They also have a museum where a materials related to Igu is displayed for visitors and a large auditorium is also available where cultural activities are performed and it is used during cultural activities only. The Mipi Pene center also has a small complex which is a well-maintained lawn for outdoor activities and the people who want to study. Any people or the students and the scholars who are interested in learning Igu can stay in the dormitory. The nearest airport to reach Roing is Mohanbari airport of Assam and the nearest railway station to reach Roing is the Tinsukia railway station of Dibrugarh in Assam. From both the railway station and the airport, one needs to hire a taxi or take public transport to reach Roing. From Roing town to Mipi Pene Center it is almost 1 kilometer away and one can hire a taxi to reach the center or can walk from Roing town since it is not too far from the city.
