The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the famous wildlife sanctuaries in the northeastern state of Tripura in India and it is situated in the South District of Tripura. The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of about 163.08 square kilometers which is almost 62.97 square meters. The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is at a distance of 100 kilometers from Agartala the capital city of the state. It is well connected by state highway Agartala the capital city of Tripura and from Pilak town it is at a distance of approx 35 kilometers away and from Belonia the sub-divisional town is almost 18 kilometers away. Since Agartala is well connected by state highway so one can reach by road also as the conditions of the roads are also good. The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is a house of many wild animals, birds, trees, and several species of plants. There are a number of perennial water rivulets, water bodies, as well as grassland in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary. The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is rich in rare vegetation and has a patch of virgin forests. The Indian Gaur (Bison) is the main attractions of the Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary and apart from Indian Gaur one can see many other wild animals like deers, gibbon, golden langur, capped langur, Pheasant, and many other animals and reptiles. The varieties of birds can also be seen in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary. The Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is open every day except on Tuesday, the visiting timing starts from morning 9: AM to evening 5: PM. To reach Agartala one can go by air, train, or by road, all the modes of transportation are easily accessible. The nearest airport to reach Agartala is Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya airport of Agartala and the nearest railway station is Garjee. Agartala Railway station is also very near to the city and it is at a distance of a few kilometers to the south from the city center and also it is connected to a number of cities.
