Itinerary Itinerary
Arrival
We will pick you up from Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station and take you to Uttarey. It will take 7 to 8 hours. Your drive from NJP to Uttarey will be mesmerizing with the view of dense forests of Sikkim all along the way to Uttarey.
We will stop in Jorethang for lunch. Withdraw cash if you are running short because after Jorethang there are very few options for ATM’s.
We will drive you via Jorethang, Richenpong, Dentam, and at last Singshore Bridge, which is considered as the highest bridge in Sikkim and the second highest suspension bridge in Asia.
After you reach Uttarey you will check in to a campsite.
Uttarey – Chewabanjang
After a light breakfast, we will take you to Chewabanjang. You will first reach upper Singalila Ridge, which forms the border between Sikkim and Nepal. The drive will take you through a rich and dense forest. You can enjoy the swathes of rhododendrons, open ridges, sacred lakes, and remote trails. The final steep ascent for the last couple of hours will bring you right up to the Nepalese border and your first camp.
You will spend the following day here for necessary acclimatization before further ascension.
You will be spending the night in tented camps at Chewabanjang.
Note: Everyday client permits and identity cards need to be shown on the trek trail because your trail is on the ridge along the Indo-Nepal border.
Phoktey Dara Sightseeing
Your day starts quite early today as you’re scheduled for a walk to Phoktey Dara in the week hours of the morning. Phoktey Dara provides one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Sikkim and Nepal mountain ranges, as it lies at a junction between Sikkim, Nepal, and West Bengal and the borders meet here.
You will have a full view of towering peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse, Three sisters, Kumbakarna, Khanchendzonga, and several other peaks in the region. This is one of the best grand-stand views you will get of the majestic Himalayas from anywhere in the mountains.
You will be spending the night at tented camps.
Chewabhanjyang – Phalut via Tori-Phulay
After breakfast, we will take you on a trail that goes to Singalila Viewpoint. It will take almost 1 hour; you will come across the singalila top which is the highest point of this day. The trail is an easy narrow path up toward Phalut. The path is along the Indo- Nepal border which 50m below the ridge Himalayan alpine trees and rhododendron forest.
We will again start our trail and we will start climbing for an hour toward Phalut. The views will offer you a whole day of majestic snow-capped mountains of Nepal and Sikkim Himalaya. It serves as the confluence point for many routes starting from Sikkim, West Bengal and Nepal.
You will have to walk from there to the Phalut viewpoint for another 30 minutes. The view point is very mesmerizing from there you will be able to see the mountain range very clearly.
You will be spending your night in Phalut camp.
Phalut – Sandhakpu via Sabagram
After breakfast, we will take you early for trek as there will be lot of distance to be covered; we will go on in the trail which will gradually descend to Sabagram. From here trail gradually ascends up toward Sandhakpu. The trails are the best on this trek in terms of scenery and diversity of flora and fauna. Phalut is 3,481mtrs and Sandhakpu is 3,586mtrs.
You will have to walk on Singalila ridge and through meadows, this route, from April and May, is a season of blooming rhododendrons.
You can view the peaks above eight thousand which the trail offers. In the morning you can go for the main attraction of this spot at sandhakpu where you can get 180-degree panoramic views of the majestic Himalayans from Nepal and Sikkim. And also one of the world famous panoramas for Mt. Baruntsem, Mt. Chamling, Mt. Chomo-Lonzo, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Machhapuchhare Mt. Makalu, Mt. Everest etc.
You can see the highest ranges of Bhutan, and around your camp side mobile network is sometimes available. From here you can also see a beautiful sunset.
You will be spending your night in the camp.
Sandhakpu – Tumbling
You have to wake up early in the morning if you want the see the majestic Himalayas of Nepal and Sikkim.
After the viewpoint, you will have to walk back to camp, and have breakfast then we will start the trek to Tumbling. It is around 5 to 6 hours. The trail will have a moderate, gradual descent for 2 hours to reach Garibas.
From there, we will take you to gradually steep ascent up to Tumbling via Joubari through bamboos and rhododendron forest.
Later we will take you to your camp and you will be spending your night there.
Tumbling – Mane-Bhanjang via Chatrey
This day will be your final trek day. We will take you on a trail from Tumbling to Mane-Bhanjang which is an easy gradual descent with Rhododendrons and Magnolia trees along the route. The forest opens up to a lovely meadow. If you are very lucky you might be able to see a Red Panda.
On the way, we will take you on a visit to some monastery at Chattrey and your trail is on a motor able road. We will take you for a 30 minutes tea break at Mane-Bhanjang then we will drive you to Darjeeling from there it will take 2-3hours.
After you reach Darjeeling you will check in to hotel.
Your last night will be in the mesmerizing place Darjeeling. You can spend the evening strolling in the market.

We’ll drive you to Bagdogra airport/N.J.P. railway station soon after breakfast. We hope you take back happy memories and await your return for another exciting trip with us.
