Assam is the most exotic state of India. When it comes to travelling to Assam, it is the national parks that steal the show. Assam is home to five different national parks that are the state’s hidden treasures.
The best time to visit the national parks of Assam is from November-April when the weather is fairly pleasant. You can opt to explore these national parks either by foot or a jeep/elephant safari, both of which are equally thrilling, do boating in some of the, and spot migratory birds too.
1. Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site and is home to over two-thirds of the population of the one-horned rhinoceros as well as elephants, swamp deer, and wild water buffalo. Ganges River dolphins can be spotted in the park’s waters.
