Donyi Polo is a religion and the biggest Donyi Polo temple in Arunachal Pradesh is in the town of Aalo. The majority population of Aalo follows the Donyi Polosim. Donyi Polo religion offers a prayer to the sun as Male and Moon as Female. Donyi Polo Temple is a center to worship Sun and Moon. The Donyi Polo temple in Aalo in Arunachal Pradesh has a large prayer hall and priest in attendance. During Sunday the local people of Aalo town visit the Donyi Polo temple to offer a prayer for good health and wealth so it is advised to the visitors not to visit on Sunday if they only want to look around the temple. If the visitors want to see how they offer the prayers and how they worship then it is advised to visit the Donyi Polo temple during Sunday. The Donyi Polo religion was started in the year of 1989 by Talom Rukbo a revivalist religious movement based in Arunachal Pradesh. Aalo is a very beautiful and picturesque town surrounded by hills and beautiful orange orchards, the picturesque town at the confluence of Sipu and Siyom River. There are other places to visit as tourist attractions like Ramakrishna Mission Campus, Patum Bridge, Bagra Village, Donyi Polo Temple, etc. Another beautiful place to visit around Aalo is the Kamki Hydropower Dam which is almost 25 kilometers away from Aalo and the bridge which is made of bamboo and cane is almost 70 meters long the bridge is known as Siyom hanging bridge and one can even go for rafting. To reach Donyi polo Temple from Aalo town one needs to hire a private taxi or go by state tourism bus. The distance from Aalo to Donyi Polo Gangii is approximately 212 kilometers which is almost a 5 hours drive. Donyi Polo Temple is open throughout the year.
