The Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery which is also known as TDL Monastery is in Dirang, West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Dirang is well connected by road and can be reached by different modes of transportation like by air, by train or by road depending upon the travelers. Dirang is a very beautiful place and there are many places to visit like National research centre on Yak, Dirang Dzong, Dirang hot water spring, Sangti Valley, Kalachakra Gompa, etc. The Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery is one of the monasteries or temples and learning institutes for the study of Tibetan Buddhism for laypeople and monks in Dirang. His Holiness, the Dalai Lama gave the name the Thupsung Dhargye Ling and the meaning is Place of Flourishing of Buddha’s Speech. The construction of Thupsung Dhargye Ling was started in the year of 1998 and the Thupsung Dhargye Ling was completed in the year 2001. Hotel Pemaling is very near to Thupsung Dhargye Ling it is only 1.64 kilometers away. In and around Thupsung Dhargye Ling there are other places to visit and the travelers would love to go and visit the places like Sangti Valley which is only 6.11 kilometers away, likewise, other places are Bomdila Monastery (20.46 km away), Bumla Pass (52.49 km), Sela Pass (20.42 km). Dirang can be visited between November and February and the weather becomes extremely pleasant during November and February and this is the best time to visit Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. Dirang can be reached by different modes of transportation by air, by road or by train. The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Guwahati, Assam is the nearest airport which is approximately 351 kilometers from Dirang. By train one need to travel approximately 193 kilometers from Dirang town and the nearest railway station is Tezpur in Assam. Dirang is well connected by road, public transport like bus services and shared taxis are also available from different cities.
