The Badarpur Fort of Assam which was built during the Mughal Era is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Karimganj district of Assam. From the city of Karimganj, the Badarpur Fort is almost at a distance of 27 kilometres away hence one need to take a private cab or other modes of transportation to reach the destination. Karimgunj is the main town of Karimgunj district which links to Latu in Bangladesh. Latu is one of the historically interesting villages of Karimganj, this place played an important role in the freedom movement.
