Who says travel is for the young only? We believe travel is for the young and adventurous at heart. Our trip to Guwahati and Megahalayawith the 50+ aged youngsters proves just that.
Our incredible journey began at Guwahati in May of 2019.
One of the jewels of Assam, besides the Kaziranga National Park, are the largest and smallest river islands of the world. Here is a glimpse of the Umananda Lake and the happy faces there.
A solo with this view is inevitable and we are not complaining :)
When the journey is long, breaks are welcome and breaks mean group photos!
Stop-over at the Seven sister falls
And pose for another group pic
Interaction with locals and other travelers is a given
We came across travellers from Tripura, so we posed
Crossed roads with global travelers too. Smile, please! Sure, why not?
Did you know that the Elephant Falls, a multi-layered picturesque waterfall located just outside Shillong, is the most popular of falls in the North-East?
Our picture perfect couple does complete justice to this beautiful landscape
And of course, we went places
Some of the group strike a pose at the gates of the famous Mawsmai caves
Yes we stood at the border of two countries
And struck a pose at remarkable places as the Balancing rock in Mawlynnong (Maw Ryngkew Sharatia)
Now for more fun, posing with the cultural program performers
When in Meghalaya, be like the Khasi.
Our group has a wonderful time with the local artists and some of them adorned the Khasi traditional dress because you simply must.
The hidden gems surface
Last day, back at Guwahati. There are all smiles and lasting memories.
And a thank you note
So if you are looking for a dream trip to Assam, Meghalaya with old friends and new. Think no further
