Rachela hilltop is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in the boundary of Sikkim, Bhutan and Kalimpong in West Bengal. The Rachela Hilltop is a natural trek route which is almost 12 kilometres away from Lava. To reach Rachela Pass through the steep road it will take about 3 to 4 hours, although the route is difficult and steep but it is naturally surrounded by natural beauties like rhododendrons, bamboo trees, magnolias and many other varieties of trees. The scenic beauty along the route is mesmerizing. It takes up to three days to cover the trek route and the trek route is especially very good for the nature lovers and the adventurous. Once you reach the hilltop there are some of the vantage points like Sihkary Cliff view Point, Ulka Stone View Point, Thari Changa which should not be missed. Rachela Hilltop is for an adventure tourist and natural route is connected up to Rachela Hilltop from Tangta where the boundary of Sikkim, Bhutan and Kalimpong existed and one have to book an accommodation in an advance on the way with Forest Department. The tourist often visits the scenic beauty of a pass and experiences footfall round the year. Especially tourists loving adventure visit this Rachela pass and feel like they have achieved something. The Rachela pass is also one of the most significant trade routes in the history of India and one could also witness people carrying or trading merchandise within countries. From the hilltop, one can also spot the valleys which are divided into four chief ridges and the valleys are particularly known as Rishi, Jaldhaka, Neora and Rangli. Other passes of Nathula of Sikkim and Jelep La pass are also visible from Rachela pass, the Singalila range along with the world third highest peak Kanchenjunga and the entire Chola range are also visible if the day is clear.
