Pasighat is in the northeastern part of India in a state called Arunachal Pradesh. Pasighat is the headquarter of East Siang district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and Pasighat is also the oldest town in Arunachal Pradesh and it is at the eastern foothills of the Himalayas at 155 meters above mean sea level. In 1911 A.D Pasighat was founded by the British Raj as a gateway to administrative convenience of the greater Abor Hills and the north area in general. Pasighat is primarily a place for Adi tribes and in the year of January 2011 it was marked as 100 years existence of Adi tribes. Pasighat is famous for its natural beauty and the surroundings are really peaceful. Many tourists are attracted to this place since Pasighat has many tourist destinations it has a number of places to visit like Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, Kekar Monying, Komsing, etc. And out of many places of visit Siang River is one of the most visited places by the tourist. One can do many adventure activities like rafting, angling, camping, trekking and hiking in Siang River. The most interesting thing to visit in Siang River is the hanging bridge. The bridge in Siang River is made of bamboo and cane and the travelers enjoy a lot during the time of their visit to Siang River. The photographers love to spend the day capturing the natural beauty of in and around Siang River. The Siang River gave an opportunity for travelers to connect with the local people or with the people of the hilly region since it is located close to Pangin. Pangin is a small town in Arunachal Pradesh and it is a place where you can visit many touristic places. Pangin is also a place for Adi tribes. Between Octobers to March is the best time to visit. Siang River is also famous for the Siang River Festival and it is celebrated during the month of December and the festival is celebrated in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier the same Siang River Festival was celebrated in Tezu as Brahmaputra Darshan Festival. The state tourism of Arunachal Pradesh wants to promote the culture and hence it is the main objective of organizing this festival. Different kinds of cultural dances, folk music performances, paragliding, and other adventure sports, the various exhibitions and fun games are organized in this festival. The festival is organized by the department of the state.
