Red Hill is a hillock which is about 17 Kms south of Imphal City on Tiddim Road. A fierce battle was fought at the site between the Allied Forcews and the Japanese Forces during World War II. Japanese war veterans constructed a monument at the foot of this hill and it is significantly named “India Peace Memorial”
It has its own historical uniqueness, visiting the places will takes one to the time when the British brutally ruled over India, but along with it you can even get the rising sense of unity and strength that people had within them until India became free in the year 1947.
