Vanghmun in the hill of Jampui hill is one of the cleanest and remote villages and people traveling or visiting must not miss the view of the sunset and sunrise. Jampui hill is famous for its charming landscape, bracing climate, and natural scenic view. The place is beautifully surrounded by a green forest, a very beautiful orange garden in some parts and the view of sunrise and sunset are really wonderful. The Jampui hill is located at an average altitude of approximately above 1000 meters sea level. Vanghmun is situated at the highest peak of the Jampui hills in the North Tripura district. There are various viewpoints from where one can view the panoramic view of valleys along with a village of Mizoram. The place is really beautiful and it is a place of tourist attraction. Without the help of the government the villagers have taken a small step to keep the village clean and after years their effort and their dreams come true since it is the cleanest village of Tripura. In the year of 1919 by Raja Bahadur Dokhuma Sailo established the Vanghmun and he was the village chief. In Vanghmun village there are almost 253 families residing with a population of around 1512 and Vanghmun was the fifth village to be set up on Jampui hills with only 20 houses. Every weekend people from all the localities come together to clean the Vanghmun village voluntarily but the saddest part of the village is they have to depend fully on rainwater since it is only the source of water here. The highest peak and watchtower Betlingchip which is about 3200 feet high from where one can view the scenic view of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the Kanchanpur – Dasda valley other hill ranges of Tripura and Mizoram unfold an enigmatic scenic vista.
