One of the best places that one should not miss to visit while on a trip to Darjeeling. It is a place where people comes together or people meets from different places basically it is a hangout place for both the locals and the tourists. The place has several boutique shops, restaurants and eateries. The Chowrasta or the Darjeeling Mall is the heart of Darjeeling and Chow means four and rasta means roads, basically it is a meet point of four roads. Following are the road which meets and makes the place Chowrasta.

1. The Nehru Road that comes up from below where all the well-liked tourist shops are lined.

2. The Dr Zakir Hussain Road that comes in corresponding to the Nehru Road all the way through a busy local market area near the Mall.

3. The famous Mall Road which originates from one side goes around the Observatory Hill and comes back into the Mall from the other side.

The Darjeeling Mall or the Chowrasta is located on top of Nehru Road and the place is a flat land where both the locals and the tourists come especially to enjoy the sunset, they take a seat on one of the many benches which are kept in the place and watch the wonderful views of the mountain peaks and valleys all around. Anybody who visited Darjeeling will surely know about the beautiful place of Darjeeling. The Darjeeling mall of Darjeeling is like a town centre where people get to buy all kinds of stuff and there are some old and heritage stores lined up on one side which is also one of the must-visit place wherever you are in Darjeeling Chowrasta. On one side of the store, there is an open place surrounded by pine trees all around. In and around Chowrasta the must-do activities is a horse ride, there are some young local lads with their ponies offering horse rides to the locals and the tourists.
